3 Shifts (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am)

Up to £44,000 DOE

Are you a Multi Skilled Engineer looking for the challenge of taking a mission driven organisation to its next level of success?

Our client is actively seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their Operations department as we continue our growth trajectory. The role will enable us to optimise machinery output and product quality, and minimise plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance, efficient breakdown response in specific area of the factory whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment and promoting good engineering practices.

The Multi Skilled Engineer has responsibility to;

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one area of the factory or lower tier of Multi-Skilled Engineer framework.
  • Assist in building an up-to-date PPM system and ensuring planned maintenance is carried out professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure the Engineering maintenance carried out in line with the current schedule and effective and efficient corrective action is taken.
  • Quick and effective response to breakdowns in more than one area on site, keeping all stakeholders informed and where possible identifying root cause and suggesting possible improvements to minimize or prevent further breakdowns occurring.
  • Reporting and tracking lost time, cause of breakdowns, record parts used/required and Health and Safety and Environmental Issues.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety guidelines, highlighting possible areas of improvement to the Shift Supervisor / Manager.

What You Bring To The Role:

  • Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • 4+ years of engineering experience
  • Electrical or Welding /fabrication experience
  • Familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment and have the ability to fault find
  • Mechanical fitting skills
  • Ability to mentor a Level 1/2 Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Basic IT knowledge to support with shift handover
