Are you a maintenance engineer who has extensive experience maintaining industrial equipment?  If so, this position could be the perfect match for you! Our client is a large and well-respected, worldwide manufacturing business that specialises within the construction industry, and they are looking to recruit a multiskilled maintenance engineer in their busy Smethwick base. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in both electrical and mechanical maintenance and will have experience fault finding on PLC and control systems.

Maintenance Engineer
Job Description

  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance activities on a range of manufacturing machinery.
  • Record all modifications made to equipment to ensure documentation is accurate at all times.
  • Identify and solve the root-cause problems to provide long-term solutions.
  • Carry out basic site maintenance tasks to support Machinery installations.

Maintenance Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in relevant mechanical, electrical or maintenance biased qualification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Machine functions and degradation
  • Capable of reading and working to engineering/electrical drawings.
  • Experience of maintaining industrial hydraulics and pneumatics.
