Salary: £28,924pa
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (early Friday finish)

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit multiple Multi Skilled Fabricators on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Donnington depot.

As a Multi-Skilled Fabricator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. To play a vital role in the security of the nation, supporting the equipment used by the British Army. This includes the fleet management of over 50,000 vehicles, ranging from quad bikes and generators to main battle tanks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Day to day, you’ll be working on damaged Military Vehicles, reupholstering vehicle seats and respraying vehicles. You’ll also make boxes for repaired equipment to be shipped out to the UK and Europe:

  • Welding (Preparation) – including grinding, sanding, and blasting
  • Carpentry & Textiles support trades
  • Use of solvents and other cleaning agents
  • Painting tasks including spraying, patch painting and rolling



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Fabrication
  • Experience in Welding
  • Level 3 NVQ in relevant subject (such as Mechanical/Vehicle Maintenance)OR
  • Level 2 in Welding
