Professio Recruitment, a premier recruitment agency, is partnering with a leading provider of physiotherapy and mental health solutions. Due to extensive business growth, our client is seeking a further 4-5 qualified Physiotherapists to work remotely within the UK.

Virtual physiotherapy delves into the realm of telephonic and virtual triage, assessment, and the suitable handling of musculoskeletal injuries in a distant locale.

In this role, one can find access to remote physiotherapy management, the facilitation of transitioning into in-person physiotherapy services, and the option for further referral if deemed necessary.

The focus here lies in managing patients with musculoskeletal conditions remotely when deemed clinically appropriate, primarily through the provision of knowledge, guidance, and customized exercise using cutting-edge rehabilitation software. The individual who exceeds in this role will be tasked with working independently as a musculoskeletal clinician, maintaining a personal caseload of patients.

Responsibilities:

Whilst administering telephone and Virtual App based physiotherapy assessments and coordinating the management of individual clinical caseloads, a profound sense of duty is essential.

The successful candidate will have the ability to take precise notes/correspondence aligning with our clients general standards.

Providing/expertly recommending suitable treatments in accordance with evidence-based medicine and established protocols is imperative. Delving into a comprehensive analysis of all available data sources (Current Evidence, Clinical Reasoning, etc.) becomes crucial to guaranteeing the accuracy and correctness of patient care and recommendations, reflecting the our clients Clinical Care Pathways.

Crafting well-founded recommendations regarding patient management, encompassing treatment, onward referral, and pertinent clinical investigations (where relevant and compliant with the iRefer guidelines) on a case by case basis, holds significance.

Ensuring that any suggestions for further treatment, onward referrals, or clinical investigations are judiciously grounded in clinical reasoning, clinical know-how, and contemporary evidence is paramount. Striving towards and maintaining key KPIs specific to the Virtual Physiotherapist role is essential.

Acting as a pivotal "clinical point of contact" for non-clinical staff seeking clinical insights or information during telephone screening, addressing client enquiries, or making referrals is indispensable. Active participation in Clinical Audit responsibilities as guided by the Clinical Lead in alignment with the Clinical Audit Strategy is a requisite pursuit.

Formal Clinical Qualification in Physiotherapy (E)

Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) (E)

Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) (E)

Evidence of continuing professional development (E)

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office (E)
  • Previous experience of using computerised reporting templates/databases and interpreting statistics for the purpose of managing & reporting (D)
  • At least 3 years post graduate clinical experience (E)
  • Experience of telephone / video triage calls (D)
  • Experience of Clinical Triage, Clinical Report Checking and/or Clinical Audit (E)

Employer Benefits:

A salary of £31,000 - £34,500 per annum is being offered, along with an excellent benefits package.

Full or Part-time available - minimum 20 hours per week. Set hours to be agreed.
