Location: Glasgow

Salary: £27,275 increasing to £31,059 following successful completion of a 6 months' probation period

The Role:

We are currently looking for a Move-On specialist and Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated and compassionate Trafficking and Exploitation Survivors' Service (TESS), on a Permanent contract.

The successful candidate will be organised and customer focused, have demonstrable experience providing advice and information within an organisation and working with people in sensitive and emotionally demanding situations and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to victims of trafficking (known as clients), as directed by the Regional Manager; by managing a case load of complex clients who are ready to be exited from the service, offering appropriate individual support to clients; and finding bespoke move-on solutions
  • Arrange and coordinate meaningful activities for clients, whether individual or group in nature. Such activities may include, but are not limited to: social activities/events, outdoor activities, volunteering opportunities and local community activities
  • Engage with Client Advisers to ensure an appropriate handover is given, in preparation for exit from service
  • Support the process of clients being able to obtain employment and affordable housing, where appropriate
  • Arrange the process of supporting a return to a client's country of origin, where appropriate
  • Seek out suitable long-term accommodation and support options for clients who are no longer eligible for support from the service but are struggling to find move-on options
  • Collect data and record efficiently as required
  • Provide support to other colleagues as and when required
  • Provide telephone assistance and new referral meet and greet during unsocial hours on a rota basis (being part of the on-call service - one week on call outside working hours, every few weeks)
  • Respond flexibly to provide cover for all other operational activities

?Experience and Skills:

  • Experience of working in Social Care setting and working with clients who present with complex needs, including mental health and substance misuse
  • Demonstrable experience of working face to face with members of the public, dealing with people in sensitive and emotionally demanding situations
  • Proven ability to prioritise and work on your own initiative whilst respecting boundaries
  • Ability to deal with deadlines and conflicting priorities

  • Demonstrable experience of working face to face with members of the public, dealing with people in sensitive and emotionally demanding situations
