Our busy independent garage is currently on the look for a time-served only Mechanic / Service Technician.

Applicants must have experience, be self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of our friendly team environment. The hours of work will be Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm, and Fridays 8.30am-4pm with a performance bonus to be discussed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out services on specific makes and models of vehicles
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles - such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation
  • Identify issues with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment
  • General maintenance and repairs
  • Brakes checks and changes (pads and discs)
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems once repairs are completed

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

  • NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI certifications required to Level 3
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Vehicle Technician / Motor Mechanic in a main, franchised or independent dealership / workshop
  • Hold a full valid driver license
