John Williams have partnered with a third-party administrator working on behalf of a number of major insurers. For over twenty years, they have been helping companies enhance their profitability through smarter accident management.

They provide a professional and bespoke service for a wide range of schemes including private car, motorcycle, bus/coach and commercial vehicle fleets ranging from micro enterprises to large corporate risks. They are seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join their team is Essex.

As the Motor Claims Handler you will have a good working knowledge of Underwriters terms and conditions, against which to validate a claim and determine actions required to achieve early and cost-effective settlement.

The role requires excellent customer skills to ensure all claims are handled in accordance with TCF principles and underwriters service level standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To pro-actively manage a caseload of policy holder and third-party claims through to
  • conclusion.
  • New claims to be actioned within 24 hours of receipt using the clients agreed validation process.
  • Identify recovery opportunities and action in accordance with the agreed process.
  • Record MI (management information) for case load management.
  • Maintain an effective diary which is actioned daily, to monitor cases as they progress to finalisation.
  • Answering enquiries by phone, using the correct greeting and DPA procedure.
  • Dealing with enquiries via e-mail and in writing and responding in clear and straightforward terms.


Key Skills:
  • Excellent technical knowledge to determine liability.
  • Awareness of motor Fraud indicators.
  • Awareness of risk factors for large loss/ catastrophic claims and escalation process.
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional differences in Scotland North, Southern Ireland and Channel Isles.
  • To support the company’s values and policies and work to the highest professional standards.
  • Ensure all Policy and procedure documents are read and understood
