Our standard full-time contracts are for 35 hours per week (with options for part time working). However, we want you to have the flexibility to increase your working hours if it suits you, so we also offer the option for enhanced 40-hour contract following your leader approval

These are permanent roles and will involve shift patterns covering the hours of 8.00am to 6.15pm (Monday - Friday).

Due to the nature of this role, we will require full time training in our office for approximately 6 weeks.

A bit about the job

As an Aviva International Claims Handler, you will need to provide brilliant service on every call and e-mail, supporting our customers who have had an accident with a vehicle registered in Europe. You will also need to take the time to understand the needs of our customers, and work with our suppliers, both in the UK and internationally, to ensure everything is taken care of.

You will need to investigate what has happened, making pragmatic decisions on the best course of action for our customers. This will involve liaising with external stakeholders, building and developing excellent working relationships with our international clients - therefore we’re looking for candidates who are excellent at relationship building and can negotiate effectively too.

Skills and experience we're looking for

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, and prioritising responsibilities

  • Passionate about delivering brilliant customer service i.e., someone who takes pride in producing a high standard of work and putting the customer first

  • Embrace and support change, matched with the ability to share ideas and suggestions to improve our customers’ journey

  • Thrives undertaking digital & online tasks, and can demonstrate strong I.T skills, with prior experience of using software like Microsoft Outlook and Word.

  • Credit Hire experience, or French or Spanish language speaking desirable

  • Starting salary?between £23,900 and £27,300 based on a 35-hour week?or pro rata up to £31,200 if you prefer a 40-hour week?(depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications)
