MOT Tester

£30k - £40k depending on experience

Chelmsford

Permanent/Full Time

Monday to Friday (9am - 6pm) / 1 in 2 Saturdays (9am - 1pm)

Our client, based in Chelmsford, has an exciting opportunity to join their workshop as an MOT Tester.

You will need to have previous experience as an MOT Tester within the motor trade and hold a Class 4 MOT Tester qualification.

Duties & Responsibilities of an MOT Tester:

  • Carrying out MOT service and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control on test results and additional work necessary.
  • Ensuring quality inspection controls are carried out.
  • Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.

Your Background & Skill:

  • Hold an MOT Tester qualification (Class 4).
  • Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent experience.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Passion for the automotive industry.
