MOT Tester & Service Technician

£35-40k basic with £48k OTE

Richmond Upon Thames

Permanent/Full Time

Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm) / Rota’d Saturdays (8am - 12.30pm)

Our client has an exciting career opportunity to join their workshop as an MOT Tester/Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and MOT testing on vehicles.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out MOT service and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Completing service and repair documentation accurately, in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control on test results and additional work necessary.
  • Ensuring quality inspection controls are carried out.
  • Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.

Your Background & Skill:

  • Proven experience as an MOT Tester/Service Technician within an automotive company is essential.
  • MOT Tester (Class 4) Certification is essential.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills.
