Our client, a global leader within the financial services industry, is currently recruiting for a Mortgage Processor to join their team in Ipswich. Role Overview:
· Maintain a pipeline of mortgage applications, to ensure that Lenders and Underwriters requirements are met, enabling cases to progress through to completion in a timely manner
· Demonstrate a thorough understanding of client lending policies and application requirements for each lender
· Liaise with solicitors and third parties to ensure loan conditions and documentation requirements are fulfilled
· Ensure information relating to borrowers and their loans is current and accurately recorded on the system
· Receive and resolve loan completion enquiries from solicitors
· Identify, recommend and implement enhancements to processes and procedures
· Understand the underwriting process in order to minimise risk

Required Skills & Experience:
• Knowledge of the applicable regulations/codes governing the financial services industry
• General understanding of mortgages and the application process
• Ability to work as an effective team member
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Excellent telephone manner
• Customer focused
• Ability to prioritise workload on a daily basis to meet deadlines
