Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Mobile Team Groundsperson at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £22,079 per annum.

The Mobile Team Groundsperson role:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Mobile Grounds Team as a Mobile Team Groundsperson. The role will be based at Chichester College, but you will also travel to other CCG sites using a CCG supplied vehicle, to undertake horticultural and grounds duties across the Group as directed by the Team Co-ordinator.

The Chichester College Group has a variety of grounds across its seven campuses, including sports pitches, astroturf, fields and communal areas. We also have a range of planters in our more urban campuses.

As our Mobile Team Groundsperson, you will have experience of working in a horticultural or grounds maintenance environment, and have horticultural knowledge of various plant species.

Key Responsibilities of ourMobile Team Groundsperson:

• Undertaking such duties as requested by the Premises Supervisor to ensure that the amenity grounds are well maintained.
• Following the directions and instructions of the Grounds Team Leader.
• Carrying out all horticultural and grounds duties in accordance with current health & safety & other legal regulations.
• Maintaining sports pitches, courts and Astroturf including line marking.
• Maintaining grounds equipment, if qualified to do so.
• Undertaking minor repairs to fencing and other boundary markers.
• General cleaning and maintenance of signs.
• Undertaking any other duties as required to assist the Facilities & Premises team with the smooth running of the Group.
• Be willing to undertake any training, or staff development, relating to their work.

Our ideal Mobile Team Groundsperson should have the below skills and experience:

• Education to GCSE level or equivalent
• Experience working within a horticultural or grounds environment
• Horticultural knowledge to include knowledge of various plant species
• The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all ages and levels, verbally and in writing
• Some heavy lifting required within health and safety regulations
• Valid current full driving licence
