My client have been in the HVAC industry for over 40 years now. They specialise in commercial chillers, boilers and air conditioning. In the last 10 years, we have also moved into FM services and a natural progression in line with our client’s needs. They have recent experienced growth in a new sector within our industry, Energy Centre Services, we
therefore would like to recruit a chiller technician to help in the running of this sector along with our current chiller maintenance base. We are working for a major player in the energy centre business and will be servicing 16 sites this year with this number due to increase year on year. With a good size chiller maintenance and remedial base already, building up this team with the right engineers is essential to ensure we can meet our customer’s needs.
Some of the duties included are:
Responsible reactive call outs for trouble shooting and resolving highly complex systems
Working on all types of chillers including Absorption, Screws, reciprocating and Centrifugal
Servicing with an optimisation and efficiency bias
Coordinates on site work activity for highly complex and multi person jobs.
Diagnosis and repairs systems malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge as well as
an understanding on time and material requirements.
Oversee Health & Safety in line with our client’s systems
Develop quotations for additional works and repairs as required
Qualifications:
Refrigerant handling qualification (C&G 2079)
Refrigeration & Air conditioning qualification
A time served apprenticeship
Deep understanding of the refrigeration process and ways to achieve improved performance
and being able to demonstrate it
