Kenton Black are delighted to be working with a reputable firm of chartered accountants and business advisors in the Staffordshire region currently looking for an experienced Mixed Tax Compliance and Advisory specialist with a full practice background that can help complete their existing team and cement the gap between the juniors and the Directors.

As a firm they work with a wide array of clients from new start ups, those looking to scale up the size of their business to those looking for an exit plan. Whatever the size or reason, this firm has a group of specialists able to create a bespoke package just for you and offer the right level of advisory to suit the needs of your business.

Summary
As the Mixed Tax Compliance and Advisory specialist, you will act as the first point of contact for an exciting and varied portfolio of clients ranging from personal tax clients, Directors or even owner managed businesses.

Key Responsibilities
-Process self-assessment and personal tax returns efficiently and accurately
-Prepare and complete P11D forms
-Communicate with colleagues from other departments, clients, and HMRC by telephone, email, and in writing where required
-You will advise on a range of tax areas form IHT, CGT, Income Tax etc
-You will support and guide organisations under financial stress and help make significant changes to their operational structure
-You will support firms to restructure when preparing for a sale, buyout or even a merger
-You will support the team and guide / mentor those less senior than yourself

Person Specification

To be considered for the role of Mixed Tax Compliance and Advisory specialist, you will have at least 80% of the required skills as shown below

-ATT/ CTA qualification – Desirable
-A strong technical tax compliance and advisory mixed tax background
-A good mix of personal, private client and business/ corporate tax experience
-Experience of corporate restructuring, Income tax and company tax knowledge
-Strong understanding of technology with familiarity across various accounting and tax software platforms
-Excellent attention to detail and extremely organised
-Ability to find solutions to problems in a calm and methodical manner
-Excellent telephone and written communication skills
-Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
-Willing to support and mentor junior members of the team
