Teacher of French
  • Location: West Leeds

  • Need immediately until the end of the academic year 

We are on the lookout for an inspirational Teacher of French to join our vibrant academy. This role is crucial to our mission, with the successful candidate being responsible for teaching and motivating students to reach their full potential in French, as well as providing general cover on Fridays. The position welcomes both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators who are passionate about language education.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Delivering high-quality French lessons to students at KS3 levels from Monday to Thursday.
  • On Fridays, providing general cover and support across various subjects.
  • Inspiring enthusiasm for the French language and culture.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Developing curriculum materials in line with current educational trends.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • For ECTs: Evidence of successful teaching placements at KS3
  • For experienced teachers: A proven track record of teaching with strong exam results at KS3 and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A thorough understanding of the latest educational developments, including the strategic use of the Pupil Premium.
  • The capability to implement educational vision and innovation in the classroom.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
