MFL Teacher (French & German)

A thriving secondary school in St. Neots is seeking a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher, specialising in French and German, to take on the role of Second in Command within the department. This is an excellent opportunity for a language teacher to contribute to curriculum development and support the Head of MFL in leading the department.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead and develop the French and German language curriculum, ensuring it is engaging and effective.
  • Support the Head of MFL in administrative and management tasks within the department.
  • Deliver inspiring and informative lessons to students in both French and German.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, devising strategies for improvement where necessary.
  • Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programmes and language-related events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent qualifications in language teaching.
  • Proven experience in teaching French and German at the secondary level.
  • Leadership experience or qualities that would support a role as Second in Command.
  • A commitment to the school’s ethos and a dedication to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
