We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Advisor to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive and flexible support, information, advice, and guidance to learners. This role is crucial in improving students’ likelihood of successful completion of their programme and progression into further education, training, and/or employment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Offer holistic support tailored to individual student needs, enhancing their academic and personal development.
  • Work closely with students, staff, and external organisations to safeguard students and support their well-being.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of students’ programmes by providing guidance and resources.
  • Engage learners within the wider community of college life and prepare them for life in society.
  • Organise and support a range of activities that promote student engagement and participation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in providing student support within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by learners and the ability to offer tailored advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support student success.
