Merchandiser

A new opportunity has arisen for a merchandiser to join this luxury fashion retailer on a temporary basis for a period of about two to three months. The company is a well-known fashion retailer with global recognition.

Suitable candidates must be immediately available and not on notice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leadership to shape strategic plans.
• Develop and manage category framework aligning with company goals.
• Ensure data accuracy for informed decision-making.
• Own forecasting process and monitor progress.
• Support buying team in developing commercial ranges.
• Manage stock levels and intake, taking corrective action when needed.
• Analyze product performance and propose corrective action.
• Identify trading opportunities and maximize sales and profit.
• Ensure product availability for launches/promotions.
• Lead markdown process and optimize clearance.
• Implement strategies to enhance merchandising and buying functions.
• Foster open relationships across teams based on reliable data.
• Deliver key information and present at meetings.

Skills and Experience:

• Commercially aware with strong merchandising understanding.
• Trading mentality in a fast-paced environment.
• Broad functional experience in multi-channel settings.
• Ability to build constructive relationships internally.
• Inquisitive and entrepreneurial mindset for handling complexity.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Leadership ability with advanced Excel proficiency.

The successful candidate will have prior experience within merchandising and analytical roles and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
