A Day in the Life in a crisis team:

As a Mental Health Practitioner specialising in young people, you will play a crucial role in delivering NHS community mental health services. Your responsibilities will include:

To undertake A&E emergency assessments. The post covers departments in the whole of Kent and surrounding areas. Candidates will also complete Shift coordination and support our Tier 4 hospital ward on rare occasions.

Candidates should have CAMHs and or Liasion psychiatry experience where assessments are a primary role. Excellent assessment and communications skills are required. The post covers the geographical areas of Kent and is most suited to someone who lives in Kent and is able to drive.

Requirements and qualifications required for this role:

  • Current and valid registration with the NMC.
  • Proven experience within a Crisis Team or Psych Liaison experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Members of staff should be a driver and have Crisis Team or Psych Liaison experience.
