Role – Mechanical Technician

Type – Permanent

Location – Wiltshire

Salary – £35,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment and machinery, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Technician, on a permanent basis, in the Wiltshire area.

The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Experienced working in a workshop environment
  • Mechanical Assembly and Manufacturing skills
  • Able to read and work to Engineering Drawings
  • Knowledge of special purpose machinery
  • Knowledge of MIG / TIG Welding
  • Experienced using centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Team player


The Mechanical Technician role will involve:

  • Mechanical assembly of a variety of products and equipment
  • Working with special purpose machinery
  • Working to project specifications and deadlines
  • Participating in technical training
  • Working to procedures and instructions
  • Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
