Pyramid8 is delighted to be supporting a local building services group, that’s in its third decade of trading. As an established firm and a leader in its industry, its portfolio boasts several high street retails brands throughout the U.K. Due to business growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join Its Mechanical department.

This role is Mechanical bias and you need to be from a mechanical background and have experience of working with HVAC on air conditioning units and ducts. The project value will range from £10K to £500K and ideally you will have progressed from the tools within plumbing, pipe fitting, welding etc.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Finding out what the client or company wants to achieve.
  • Agreeing the timescales, costs and resources needed.
  • Drawing up a detailed plan and schedule for how to achieve each stage of the project.
  • Selecting and leading a project team.
  • Liaise with H&S department.
  • Negotiating with contractors and suppliers for materials and services.
  • Chair all pre-construction meetings with the client, client representatives & subcontractors
  • Making sure that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards.
  • Reporting regularly on progress to the client or to senior managers.
  • Managing risk to avoid delays to the project.
  • Complete completion documentation and liaise with client.
  • Ensure project costing are kept up to date and correct to budget and orders.

Evaluate the outcomes of the project and discuss if required at department meetings.
