Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Role: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Hours: 4 on 4 off, PERMANENT DAYS ONLY, 6:30am till 6:30pm
Salary: £39,000 - £40,000 per annum + overtime & benefits
Location: Commutable from Worthing, Bognor, Horsham, Chichester, Lewis, Brighton and surrounding areas

A well-established company that’s takes great pride in its people are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to their team. This is due to an internal promotion, one of the Mechanical Fitters are moving into a new role within the company, therefore looking to back-fill. Someone who is mechanical, enjoys a variety of work, getting their hands dirty in a heavy plant environment and is a team player.

If you've worked in an environment that is similar, this could be in production, manufacturing or industrial, with experience of maintenance or servicing of machinery, you will be the sort of person we're looking for!

Responsibilities

· Mechanical Maintenance & Fitting work - Planned preventative maintenance and reactive (fault finding and repairs).
· Covering a range of mechanical work including Conveyors, Belts, Bearings, Chains Rollers, Mixing, Crushing, Chains, Welding (MIG)
· Work through various Projects including overhauls, refurbishments, fitting, installing and general fitting duties.
· Working out on the production floor as well as in the workshop.
· Working as part of a team, supporting each other, utilising each other’s strengths and help develop each other’s weaknesses.
· Identification of solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
· To develop an understanding of machinery operation so that faults can be diagnosed and rectified efficiently.
· To work safely at all times and follow safe systems of work.

Requirements

· Mechanical Fitting / Mechanical Maintenance background in a similar environment, industrial or production or manufacturing environment.
· Your job titles may include Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Technician.
· We are looking for someone who has SOME of the following mechanical experience; hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, belts, bearings, chains, pumps, gears, welding, machining, fabricating, fault finding and repairs.
· Must be able to Weld - Mig
· Friendly and adaptable working attitude.
· Physically fit and enjoy getting their hands dirty.
