NMS Recruit are seeking an experienced Mechanical Industrial Gearbox Fitter for a well established Engineering Manufacturer based in Huddersfield. This is a workshop based role with occasional onshore site visits.

Responsibilities
  • Stripping, rebuilding and fitting of Helical, Worm, Bevel Helical and Spur gearboxes working across a range of gearboxes from 150kg to 10 Tonnes.
  • Read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Produce technical supporting reports/documentation
  • Fault finding/troubleshooting on a range of industrial gearboxes.
  • Working to a high level of health and safety standards

Experience
  • A minimum of 1 years experience within industrial gearbox fitting or 6-7 years in the heavy mechanical industry.
  • Confident in understanding technical drawings.
  • Strong fault finding skills
  • Flexible to travel across the UK for occasional site work
  • A positive and can do attitude
  • Able to work overtime as and when required.
