Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter required for my client based in Knowsley who are a electro-mechanical service provider, in the repair and maintenance industry for pumps, motors, alternators, fans and gearboxes.

Due to the companies on-going success, they are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their well-established and respected engineering organisation.

Mechanical Fitter Position Overview

• Use of all standard workshop machinery
• Accurate recording of information and observations on internal job cards
• Dismantling and re-assembling of rotating machinery and equipment
• Ensuring tools and equipment are correctly stored and maintained.
• Reporting to your Team Leader and working closely with the production team.

Mechanical Fitter Position Requirements

• Good understanding of the Electro-Mechanical Industry.
• Time served or have at least five years commercial industrial experience.
• Must have experience of rotating equipment, specifically pumps.
• Experience of dynamic balancing is desirable.
• Knowledge of testing rotating equipment, both electrically and mechanically is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Based within a commutable distance of Knowsley.

Mechanical Fitter Position Remuneration

• Salary - £17.05phr - on a 37.5hour / 40hour working week.
• Monday to Friday full time position.
• Bonus scheme in place worth up to 10% of basic salary.
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• Company pension scheme - 5% Employee, 3% Employer.
• Other company benefits.
