Mechanical Fitter

Location: Sheffield

Salary: Up to £14.50p/h

Tenure: Temporary to Permanent

Metalis are currently working with a Sheffield based Engineering company who install and refurbish a range of equipment/machines. Due to continuous growth our client is looking for a mechanical fitter to join their team who will provide training on their processes.

This role is a 12 week temporary to permanent contract, where permanent contracts will be offered to those who show willingness and commitment after 12 weeks.

The Role:

  • Overhaul and repair of various types of heat treatment equipment.
  • Removing and installing heat treatment equipment
  • Travelling to clients around the UK and overseas
  • Ensuring fantastic communication for efficient breakdown assistance
  • Adhering to strict health and safety regulations and company policies

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally apprentice trained or time served Mechanical engineer / fitter.
  • Advantageous to have experience in a heavy engineering environment.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Full UK clean driving license (advantageous)

Salary & Shift:

  • 5 hour working week
  • Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm
  • Overtime available at 1.5/2x rate
  • Travel expenses covered
