Mechanical Estimator 

Salary: -£40,000 - £45,000

Location:- Plymouth, Devon

Job Type: - Full Time (Permanent)

An opportunity has arisen for a candidate who is looking at moving into more of an office based environment and off the tools. The role has arisen in the Estimating department and as a Mechanical Estimator you will be working with a market leader within the Building Services and Engineering sector. The role is based close to Plymouth, Devon. The company are extremely reputable which means they can offer progression and commitment to their staff. They have a very healthy project pipeline and can offer a hybrid working arrangement. 

The role:-

The role will include normal estimating duties whilst working with an electrical estimator, You will also be responsible for the day to day management of the mechanical tender process in order to meet key deadlines and milestones. Project values will be up to 50 million.

As a mechanical estimator you will be assisting evaluate the total cost of a project in various industries. As a mechanical estimator, your responsibilities include researching the materials, sourcing options, labour, and permit costs for a given project. You will also work with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to get appropriate estimates. Training will be provided. 

Requirements for the role:-

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience from a Contracting, Construction background.

Formal qualifications are not necessary, although an NC/HNC/HND or similar is a building services related qualification would be considered an advantage.

Willing to work as part of a team including managing both internal and external relationships.
