Due to company investment and development Central Recruitment are working with a well established forward thinking Engineering company in the Blackburn area Recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter.

Working in various industries including the chemical, building, paper and other industries, you will be building a range of machinery, including mixers, filling machines, storage tanks, silos and pipework

The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team and also independently

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Must have a driving license.
  • Good knowledge of machinery, including pumps, gearboxes and motors.
  • Confident in installing and commissioning new equipment.
  • Must be able to operate power tools
  • Ability to conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, troubleshoot and repair breakdowns.
  • Confident in installing and commissioning new equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

We operate from Monday to Thursday, 7.30-17.45pm.

Optional overtime on Friday when required

Candidates applying for this position must come from an engineering background, time served with a recognised qualification or equivalent hands on experience is required.

Mechanical Engineers, mechanical fitters, time-served engineers would be ideal for this position.

Attractive salary with a review after a 3 month probation period.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £31,500.00 per year
