Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer required for my client who work within the printing machines industry of engineering, based near to Bourne End.

The successful mechancial engineer will need to be open to hands on engineering work, helping dismantle company projects and equipment in both a mechanical and electrical engineering element.

• Dismantle, ship and re-install offset printing machines.
• Die-cutting & Bindery machines.
• Working within the packaging, printing and bookbinding industries.
• To dismantle mechanically & electrically offset sheetfed printing machines & post press machines.
• Rigging & loading machines onto transport & into containers.

Mechanical Engineer Position Requirements

• A mechanical engineering background (either industry, academic or both).
• Previous experience within the printing machine industry would be very beneficial, but not essential as training can be provided.
• Hands on / manual engineering experience, background and openness for this style of work needed.
• Willing to work away as travelling around Europe with weekend working a real possibility.
• Based within a commutable distance of Bourne End.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Salary - £25,000 to £45,000 - subject heavily on previous experience (industry relevant experience will increase starting salary).
• Full time position - Monday to Friday.
