In this role, the Mechanical Designer is expected to be proficient in Autodesk product design suite (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault...). Experience in a range of modelling techniques such as surface, multi-body and skeletal is highly beneficial.

As a Mechanical Designer your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creation of structural, mechanical, or piping parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor;
  • Interface with sub-contract fabricators.
  • Prepares clear and concise fabrication and customer drawings for gas turbine auxiliary equipment, in a time efficient manner.
  • Creation of bills of material to allow effective communication with suppliers.
  • Accepts work assignments that could require additional training;
  • Plan workload within agreed deadlines.
  • Performs other essential tasks as assigned
  • Willingness to travel short term.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • High-level user of Autodesk Inventor; AutoCAD; & Vault
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor sheet metal functionality.
  • Thorough knowledge of drafting, engineering standards, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate engineering drawings and other technical documents;
  • Proactive and self-managing.
