Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Beccles, Suffolk.

Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects? We are seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic client in Norwich, playing a key role in the design and development of innovative mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Utilise Solidworks to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimise designs and ensure structural integrity.
  • Develop and evaluate prototypes, testing and refining designs for performance and manufacturability.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to support the transition from design to production.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in the development of mechanical systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay abreast of emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a focus on Solidworks and FEA.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D modeling, drawing creation, and simulation.
  • Familiarity with the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience within automation manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
