Are you an experienced Design Engineer? If so, our client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience with automated systems, to work on their site in South Birmingham.

Position – Mechanical Design Engineer  
Contract - Permanent
Location – South Birmingham  

Responsibilities – Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Contribute to mechanical design of bespoke automated solutions.
  • Preparation of system-level design specifications for manufacturing environments.
  • Support production/manufacturing teams to discuss designs and progress of projects.
  • Mentor new design engineers and help with their development.
  • Produce models, drawings, and line layouts.
Experience/Qualifications Required – Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Knowledge of component parts including motors, drives and encoders
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications & designs
  • Familiar with PUWER and CE Marking.
  • Experience with Solidworks preferably.
  • Preparation of system-level design specifications
