Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you an experienced mechanical design engineer with Creo experience?

Would you like to get involved in a multi-year overhaul project working at an advanced scientific facility?

If so, then this contract is the one for you - here are the key details:

Job Type: Contract - initial 6 months with likely extensions (INSIDE OF IR35)
Rate: £45-50 p/h
Location: Oxfordshire - 3 days a week on site

Key Tasks:

• Produce concept designs, layouts, assembly drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings employing Creo software.
• Develop and apply expertise in technologies including ultra high vacuum systems, stable support structures, precision mechanisms, cryogenics and the general design of scientific equipment and plant.
• Maintain and update engineering drawings and documentation on projects.

About You:

• Required -
  • CREO CAD experience
  • Knowledge and Experience of GD&T to BS 8888 and relevant ISO standards
  • Experience of large CAD assembly management techniques
• Desirable -
  • Experience working on scientific research or r&d projects
  • Experience of Ultra High Vacuum
