Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a specialist provider of turnkey process plant solutions and due to ongoing success they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team in the Gateshead office.

It is anticipated the successful candidate will have a strong design engineering background and a proficiency with Solidworks.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

• Working on Projects to assist the development of drawings for machinery and solutions
• Carrying out fluid dynamics simulation on equipment
• Maintaining and updating the company's data management system for CAD drawings
• Liaising with customers on projects timescales and milestones
• Assisting with the Electrical Wiring design of systems
• Creating Bill of Materials
• Occasional trips to internationally to visit customers

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements

• Proven background in Design Engineering, ideally within processing plant solutions for chemicals.
• Qualifications within Engineering / Manufacturing is desirable
• Proficiency with Solidworks
• Full UK Driving License
• Based in a commutable distance of Gateshead

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary £35,000 - £50,000 - Dependent upon experience
• Holiday allowance & Company Pension scheme
• Full Time, Permanent position. Monday to Friday, 38 hour working week
• Pension
