Mechanical Assembly Operative

Working on behalf of my client, Interaction Recruitment are looking for experienced Mechanical Assemblers to work for a Manufacturing company based near to Yeadon, Leeds on a Permanent basis.

The successful candidate must have previous Mechanical Assembly or Production build experience, can follow written Engineering/Technical drawings and have experience soldering and using hand tools. Knowledge of Manual Handling Techniques will be vital as the role will include heavy lifting.

The work is quite intricate, so dexterity will be vital. If you are looking for a lot of variety in your work, then this might not be for you. The work will be repetitive, working on and assembling the same/similar units every day. Day to day duties will include:

-Basic assembly work

-Drilling

-Soldering

-Operating hand tools

-General cleaning and tidying of the workspace area

Day shifts are 6am to 2.30pm from Mon to Thurs with an 11.45am finish on a Friday. This is advertised as a Permanent role with an annual salary of £23,983 pa. Overtime will be available during busy periods paid at time + ½ and Double Time. The role is due to start in January 2024.
