Job Title: MATHS LECTURER - FURTHER EDUCATION

Hours: 4 DAYS PER WEEK (8:30-16:00, Mon-Thu)

Location: LEYLAND, LANCASHIRE

Position: TEMPORARY, ONGOING

Pay: £30-£35 PER HOUR

We are currently looking for a Maths GCSE Teacher for an award-winning College in Leyland. You will be delivering inspirational Teaching, Learning and Assessment to students aged 16-18, providing quality lessons and making a difference to students lives.

DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Teaching GCSE Maths to college students aged 16-18
  • Planning and Delivery of quality lessons within the Curriculum area.
  • Managing and encouraging learners to hit targets and achieve their potential
  • Promote and participate in the delivery of Basic / Key Skills
  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum in the College
  • Assessment of students and marking of work.
  • Safeguarding Learners.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed or equivalent).
  • Degree (or equivalent) in relevant Subject.
  • Experience delivering high quality GCSE Maths lessons to 16-18-year-olds in Further Education.
  • Safeguarding knowledge and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage well with learners.
  • Current Clear & Enhanced DBS on the update service (Beneficial)
