Highly regarded manufacturing company based near Truro, Cornwall are looking to recruit a Materials/Capacity Planner to work on an initial 12 month ftc basis (to be extended). This role will report to the Supply Chain Manager

This role would suit anyone with a manufacturing planning/buying/materials/procurment background.

You will be responsible for planning, forecasting, liaising with customers, and coordinating with the Customer Services and Manufacturing team to link production plans with order bookings. You will also be responsible for improving processes and systems to improve information flow, setting, and managing stock levels, and ordering materials.

EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should have experience in demand and capacity planning, forecasting, liaising with customers, coordinating with the Customer Services team, improving processes and systems, setting and managing stock levels, and ordering materials.

Duties

  • Generate forecasts and engage with customers to understand their needs
  • Liaise with the Customer Services team to link production plans with the order bookings
  • Plan for demand and capacity, ensuring that we have enough resources to meet customer needs
  • Improve processes and systems to improve information flow
  • Set and manage stock levels
  • Order materials
