Materials Management Specialist

Our client is a family-owned, global electrical manufacturing business. They design, manufacture, and install products globally and have a UK office based in Telford. They're known for their passion for adding value to people's lives and their buildings by offering smart, eco-efficient, and energy-saving solutions and services. Now, expanding their team, they are looking for a Materials Management Specialist with an eye for detail, Interpreting forecasts & KPI management.

The role
As a Materials Management Specialist at their Telford site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll play a crucial role in their Demand Management team. This role includes ordering, expediting and interpreting forecasts for materials and supporting other teams within the business. Working hours between 8.30 am - 5 pm, Mon-Thur, Fri 8.30 am - 2 pm, 37.5 hours per week. Opportunity to WFH 2 days per week.

You will take responsibility for:

• Keep track of supplier performance and work closely with the Purchasing team to efficiently tackle supply issues.
• Analyse forecasts to strategically plan and schedule demand, ensuring alignment with Service Level Agreements.
• Control stock levels to maximise service levels while minimising financial impact (DIO) on the business.
• Organise material procurement and hasten receipts to guarantee product availability across all brands, while adhering to established policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

• 3+ Years Experience within the Supply chain, Demand management or procurement-type role.
• Strong Organisational, interpersonal & Time management skills
• Proficient in ERP Systems (SAP)
• Knowledge of supply chain management
