Material Handler

Cambridge

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Material Handler. The Material Handler will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient receipt, organisation, and distribution of materials within our client's facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments of materials and goods.
  • Inspect and verify received items for accuracy and quality.
  • Accurately log received items into the internal database.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all received materials.
  • Prepare materials for distribution by picking and packing items as per company standards.
  • Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Maintain organised records on the flow of materials within the facility.
  • Update records regularly to reflect real-time inventory status.
  • Monitor the flow of materials and parts between different departments.
  • Collaborate with various teams to optimise material flow processes.
  • Identify and expedite materials to address any shortage issues.
  • Work closely with procurement and production teams to resolve shortages promptly.
  • Assist in the pre-assembly of materials to support the production process.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure a seamless work flow.
  • Undertake other tasks as required from time to time to support operational needs.
