Reporting to the Warehouse and Materials Manager

Position Overview:

The Materials Co-ordinator will be based at the Sembcorp store located on the Wilton International site, Teesside and will be responsible for the efficient management and movement of stock inventory for the Stores supporting the Wilton assets and broader Sembcorp business. The position will require the ability to work under pressure and communicate at all levels. The successful candidate will be a team player who will have a specific focus on enhancing service levels to internal customers. Working in a fast-paced environment the Materials Co-ordinator must have an enthusiasm for the task in hand and a willingness to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Periodic travel to sites will be required.

The standard working week will be Mon-Fri 08:00 to 16:30 including 40 minutes lunch break with an on call rota.

Responsibilities:

To receive goods on Purchase Orders utilising the SAP system and ensure that the physical goods, SAP order data, and all documentation matches & are correct in relation to the goods received.

To locate stock in accordance with a structured stock bin system ensuring accountability and traceability of goods within the Store at all times.

Issue stock parts from Stores to Sites in accordance with procedural requirements.

To conduct stocktakes in accordance with management-set programmes.

To ensure the Store is maintained in a clean, tidy, and safe condition at all times with all activities conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

To conduct periodic safety inspections of the store buildings and report and escalate any EHS concerns through the appropriate company systems.

To ensure that stock is preserved in accordance with any procedures and best practices that apply to such goods.

To be competent to operate mechanical equipment within the store which may include but not be limited to Forklift Truck, hand pallet truck, other.

To effectively organise workload to meet the demands of the business.

To contribute towards meeting business objectives and targets.

To work flexibly to meet the demands of the business and participate in call out rota as and when required.

To develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in the business.

Requirements:

To have at least 3 years’ experience working in a stores environment

Must be able to demonstrate sound understanding of stock inventory control processes

Must be I.T literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools

A general ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in written form

To be numerate and literate

Must have a full clean driving licence.

Must have a license to operate a Forklift truck

A team working ability

Desirable

SAP experience / ERP system experience

Reach & counterbalance forklift truck license
