Our client, a global leader in infrastructure development, has provided off highway and power solutions to military and naval customers for the last 85 years. They offer engines, transmissions, and electrical power generation systems for combat vehicles, naval propulsion, and more.
We are looking for a Material Scheduler / Expeditor to join their manufacturing facility in Shrewsbury.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to meet production schedules.
  • Resolve issues to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Work with operations, quality, and purchasing teams.
  • Improve inventory accuracy and planning systems.
  • Analyse parts schedules and production requirements.
  • Track supplier performance and improve material availability.


Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.

Advantages

  • Experience with MRP systems.
  • Experience in material scheduling and expediting.
  • Knowledge of 6 Sigma or Lean principles.


Clean full driving license will be required.
May be a requirement to travel to see suppliers around the UK.

Job Title - Material Planner
Location - Shrewsbury, 3 days minimum onsite per week
Type - 12-month Contract - Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:15 or 08:00 - 16:45
Fridays 07:30 - 12:00 or 08:00 - 12:30
Salary - up to £16.49 per hour DOE, PAYE
