Circ. £30,000 DOE

Mon - Thur 7.30am - 4.30pm, Fri - 7.30am - 12pm / 38.5 Hours per Week

Permanent Fully On- Site

A key role adapting a flexible approach to effectively forecast and administer the procurement and supply of products whilst controlling additional costs, stock turn and ensuring OTIF delivery is achieved to fulfil all Company requirements.

To provide effective and efficient assistance to the Procurement & Material Planning Manager and support to the Procurement Team.

Main Duties & Tasks

  • Establish and maintain, excellent and effective relationships with all key suppliers.
  • Collating of customer forecasts and utilising the data within the Company Demand Planning System.
  • Liaise with customers and analyse forecasts against actual sales to obtain and develop a more accurate understanding of demand.
  • Take appropriate actions applicable to maintain supply and achieve targets set based on usage or amended forecasts (deferment / improvement requests of outstanding purchase orders with suppliers)
  • Raise further purchase order coverage when applicable, ensuring customer authorisation is provided where relevant (COS)
  • Monitor purchase orders and shipment plans, reviewing with suppliers ensuring maximum efforts are achieved to assist with reducing additional costs
  • Work closely with all departments ensuring the Procurement Department, the Company and customer expectations and requirements are achieved.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong time management of multiple tasks with demanding deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel (e.g., V/H Lookups, Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to analyse data in a range of formats
  • A strong sense of logic; be self-driven and determined.
