Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a business based in the West Midlands in both the b2b and b2c retail space, to recruit for a Marketplace Manager.

Job title: Marketplace Manager

Location: West Midlands

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Office days: Full time office based

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Start date: April - June 2024

The role:

In this role you will be working across the businesses existing marketplaces and define and deliver the proposition strategy. In this role, you'll shape and execute the marketplace strategy, driving growth, analysing performance, and uncovering fresh opportunities.

You will work to boost revenue across various platforms (eBay, Onbuy, Amazon (Seller & Vendor Central) and more) by enhancing visibility, fine-tuning product listings, and making strategic moves. We need someone with strong marketplace expertise and a track record of fuelling growth in similar ventures.

Key requirements:

  • Building and nurturing relationships with key partners
  • Driving sales and climbing the rankings on online marketplaces.
  • Helping us hit our growth targets with precision.
  • Crafting compelling product listings, boosting visibility, and driving up Average Transaction Value (ATV) and Conversion Rate (CVR).
  • Making sure our offerings stand out in the market and support our commercial growth.
  • Using data analytics to uncover insights, seize opportunities, and keep us on track with our KPIs.

Candidate Criteria:

  • At least two years of hands-on experience in Amazon and eBay marketplaces.
  • A proven track record of growing and managing Amazon marketplace businesses.
  • A solid grasp of Amazon's seller & vendor central platform.
  • Experience with eBay or other online marketplaces is a must.
  • A knack for handling and making sense of large volumes of data.
  • The ability to keep up with the operational demands of the Amazon platform.
  • A team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and can keep up with the pace.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders
