Marketing & Communications Officer
Marketing & Communications Officer
Higher are a boutique recruitment agency specialising in the HR and Marketing professions. We are pleased to inform you of a new role that we are working on for one of our clients:
Position: Marketing & Communications Officer
Salary: £28,000
Location: Preston (One day a week WFH)
What's the background?
If 'purpose driven' and 'values orientated' are two phrases you're wanting when describing your future employer then it's a solid 'tick, tick' for this vacancy.
This not-for-profit organisation want someone who is equally as values-based as they are to join their Marketing team to help who bring a sense of involvement and community with their stakeholders, internally and externally.
If you're looking to work in a business that serves the greater good and give something back then this would be the perfect environment for you. However, they care for their employees just as much as they do their customers and it's got to have one of the best cultures I've had the pleasure of recruiting for.
Responsibilities:
The role of the Marketing & Communications Officer is quite simply to support with marketing and communications delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. No-one has ever had a bug bear about being kept informed and that's ultimately down to great communications and delivery of the messages and information. That's where you'll fit in.
We're needing someone who understands tone of voice, and the impact of delivering a message in the right (and wrong) way. The messaging will be online and offline covering print, website, social media, newsletters, posters, leaflets etc. It will also involve the planning and running of various events too.
Communications might cover industry news, national celebrations and festivals, good news stories, or case studies which will be laid out in your Campaign Calendar. However, this is a broad and varied role with plenty to get involved in.
Therefore, to be successful as the Marketing & Communications Officer here you'll need to be someone who can evidence previous experience of producing clear and engaging communications. You'll need to be a good copywriter and someone who has created various types of online and offline materials such as posters, flyers, brochures etc.
Experience needed:
- A minimum of one years experience in Marketing
- Previous experience of delivering various forms of communications within a marketing role
- Experience of running events would be beneficial
- A team player who is passionate and values-orientated
It's definitely worth talking about the benefits available as they're pretty impressive. The below is only a selection of the vast amount on offer:
- 25 days’ holiday per annum + bank holidays
- Extra day off for your birthday
- Ability to work from home one day a week
- On site free parking
- Employer pension contribution of up to 8%
