Our client who is a Marine Claims Consultancy is looking for a Marine Claims Handler to join their expanding Recoveries department in the Kent office. The purpose of the role is to handle and manage a caseload of Marine Claims.

Main Duties:

  • Managing a caseload of Claims
  • Handling the recoveries from start to finish
  • Negotiating settlement
  • Reviewing comprehensive documentation to determine liability
  • Liaise with clients, Brokers, and Underwriters
  • Responsible for handling fee income
  • Maintaining relationships at all levels

Essential Skills Required:

  • Previous experience within Marine Claims
  • Experience with defendant and/or recoveries of claims
  • Good IT skills

Desirable:

  • Good organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Law degree achieved

  • Permanent role
  • Based in Kent
  • Salary between £28,000 - £32,000
