I am partnering with a leading hedge fund based in Central London who are seeking a Margin Optimisation Lead to join them on a 12-month FTC.

Reporting into the Head of Treasury, this role will take full ownership of the margining process including analysis, reporting and enhancing as well as being the margining SME and POC to wider business and counterparties.

This is a fantastic role for anyone coming from a margin focused role within a bank who is looking to make a transition to a buyside firm.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and report firm's initial margin requirements
  • Identify and report potential margin efficiencies and associated costs
  • Maintain regular dialogue with banks, exchanges, and CCPs for assessing portfolio and cross-product efficiencies
  • Engage with Risk, Portfolio Managers, and internal stakeholders for presenting and executing margin optimisation opportunities
  • Model margin requirements for new Portfolio Managers and strategies
  • Enhance margin reporting and optimisation infrastructure, collaborating with technology, risk, and other stakeholders
  • Enhance cost of capital and transfer pricing models
  • Assess efficiencies for collateral pledging across counterparties and clearers
  • Monitor regulatory developments impacting financing and margin
