An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Technician to join a company based in West Sussex. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the role involves building electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products. The candidate will be responsible for interpreting bills of materials and drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembling electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products, while accurately interpreting bills of materials and drawings.
Cleaning and packing products using COSHH substances with appropriate PPE provided.
Documenting non-compliance, rework records, stores requisitions, and any necessary build documentation changes.
Ensuring familiarity with relevant aspects of quality management, including static handling precautions and workmanship standards.
Maintaining and improving housekeeping and working practices.
Adhering to the Company’s Quality ISO9001 and ISO14001 Environmental Management System, as well as the Health and Safety Management System.
Collaborating within a team to achieve departmental objectives, striving for continuous improvement in product quality and processes, and adopting lean initiatives to reduce waste.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering.
- Knowledge of High Voltage considerations is advantageous.
- Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
- Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.
- Good communication skills with a hands-on approach.
- IPC standard certifications are advantageous.
Location - West Sussex
Permanent - Full Time
Salary £25,600 Plus Bonus
