Manufacturing Resource Planner

Sandwich, Kent

£32,000 - £38,000 Per Annum

Do you understand engineering, scientific, and technical information as easy as talking? Have you got experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment?

If so, we have an excellent opportunity in Sandwich for a Manufacturing Resource Planner where you will form an integral part of the Operations team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager your role will require you to ensure effective planning of materials and resources to meet the demands of the customers’ deliveries. Ensuring that all materials and goods required for production go into the right place exactly when they should.

As the Manufacturing Resource Planner, you will…

  • Manage and control the production planning to ensure that production workflow is maximised to meet the output plan.
  • Ensure parts and materials are delivered on time to meet the production schedule.
  • Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Work with the supply team and carry out the duties of a buyer as required to support the team’s output.
  • Liaise with suppliers and colleagues to ensure that their delivery schedules will be achieved.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
  • Foster close working relationships with associated departments e.g. Sales, Engineering, Production, and Business Development.
  • Continually improve planning methods and procedures to optimise production performance.
  • Ensure that products are shipped according to the plan whilst maintaining compliance with export restrictions.
  • Develop and record relevant KPIs to improve performance.
  • Carry out other tasks required by the management team.

Skills

  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Must have a full clean UK driving licence
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Capable of working well under pressure
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Dealing with complexity
  • Writing procedures
  • Presenting
  • Being highly professional and proficient
  • Applying health and safety practices
  • Managing stressful situations and projects
