My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their site on the outskirts of Glasgow. You will be working with a successful manufacturer, that have a culture on site that is results-driven with a strong focus on continuous improvement. The company is well established, financial stable and have earned a reputation as an excellent employer.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a small team on various projects at different stages of the life cycle
  • Ensure that the manufacturing process on the different production areas operate as smoothly and efficiently as possible
  • Allocate labour effort accordingly to react to business priorities
  • Plan and co-ordinate manufacturing processes
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods
  • Working with Manufacturing to support NPI builds through various development phases
  • Support with NPI, working with design, production, tooling and quality
  • Assist with the creations of BoMs, build processes & cost evaluations related to NPI
  • The ability to implement change and implement new process and procedures
  • Plan and implement new layouts, work flows and maximise efficiency

Education / Experience required:

  • HND/BSc in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification or experience
  • Production Engineering / NPI experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Excellent manufacturing knowledge
  • Proven ability to project manage and keep to project timescales
