Manufacturing and Maintenance Team Leader- Development Opportunity

Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering & Manufacturing Division are delighted to be working alongside an innovative and dynamic FMCG company to recruit several Manufacturing and Maintenance Team Leaders to join their production facility in West Yorkshire.

The Manufacturing and Maintenance Team Leader role will cover a rotating shift pattern and could be required to travel to other sites in the local area for training and support. This is a really exciting opportunity for Production Team Leaders to expand their skillset whilst obtaining an engineering qualification to develop their career. This role is the ideal career pathway to becoming a Shift Manager or a Maintenance Engineer.

Monday – Friday 

• AM 06:15 - 14:15 
• PM14:15 - 22:15

Our client is looking for a Manufacturing and Maintenance Team Leader who can work independently but also collaboratively as part of a growing team, and has a willingness and appetite to learn whilst multitasking effectively. You will essentially manage the Production Machinery (Asset) whilst managing a team of machinery operators in a line-based production facility as part of their growth plans.

Duties and responsibilities of the Manufacturing and Maintenance Team Leader include:

• Operate and monitor the production machinery and ensure quality standards are met with minimal unplanned stops and downtime
• Drive and maintain a high standard of 5s
• Maintain, monitor and troubleshooting of production machinery to ensure they function correctly and efficiently including performing preventative maintenance
• Communicate with other team members to ensure continuous production targets are met
• Escalate issues where necessary to the Shift Manager and Engineering Manager

We would be keen to speak with Manufacturing and Maintenance Team Leaders with the following skills and experience:

• Experience in a busy production environment – FMCG preferred at Production Team Leader level
• Knowledge of Production Procedures and machine operations
• Organised and strong attention to detail 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to problems and issues that happen in a fast-paced production environment
