Mechanical assembly and wiring of electrical Switchgear equipment to engineering specifications.

Main Responsibilities

Wiring:

• Working from a set of wiring and layout diagrams.

• Fit, wire, build and assemble various electrical components.

• Producing wiring looms.

• Using hand/crimp tools.

• Minor Soldering.

• You must be able to understand electrical drawings.

• Building of electrical control cabinets.

• Manual dexterity.

• Working to wiring/electrical drawings.

• Fault finding.

Mechanical:

• Using powered hand tools.

• Using cranes and hoists.

• Assembling complex products to company specifications.

• Reading and understanding assembly diagrams.

• Reading and understanding bills of materials.

Person Specification

• Working overtime to meet targets

• Flexible working (may be required to work in various areas) including both wiring and mechanical activities.

• Good communication skills.

• Excellent attendance levels and attitude.
